Carlene Reynolds, affectionately known as Pastor Joy, is the pastor for marriage and family and counseling. She came to Bronx Bethany in the Summer of 1985 and by the fall of 2005 served full-time in ministry. Pastor Joy was ordained on May 10, 2008, and is known as a leader who unapologetically serves the Lord. She is dedicated to fostering the spiritual growth and overall well-being of youth. So much so that she has spent years working in the Youth Ministry, playing a fundamental role in the Summer Camp, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, And Teen Discipleship. Her impact spans across all ages, as Pastor Joy also ministers in Adult Studies and the Choir. She was a Women’s Care Group leader, where the body of Christ gathered together to study the word, pray, and fellowship. She also currently serves on the Board of Bronx Bethany. 

Serving on the church board right beside her is her husband, Glen Reynolds. After coming to Bronx Bethany in 1986 and becoming a member in 1989, it has been his pleasure and privilege to serve with the saints and make a difference in the lives of others. He has done so in Sunday school serving as a van driver, teacher, facilitator, and superintendent. Glen has been instrumental in the Student Ministry, as he worked in the Vacation Bible School and Summer Camp programs. He has led the Men’s Care Group, interceded for others in the Prayer Ministry, ministered through song in the Chorale/Chapel Choir, and showcased his God-given gifts in the Drama Ministry. Furthermore, Glen is always willing to step in wherever help is needed. Bronx Bethany is the Reynolds’ home, the place where they got married 35 years ago, and where they still serve today.
