Bernadette and Terry Stevens have been members of Bronx Bethany Church of the Nazarene for almost four decades. They were married by Bronx Bethany’s founding Pastor V Seymour Cole 42 years ago and together have played significant roles in the church’s 60-year lifespan. Bernadette started visiting Bronx Bethany in 1980, just one year before Terry joined the community. She served in the Women’s ministry helping foster spiritual growth and community development with her sisters in Christ. She has faithfully petitioned for others at the throne of grace during Wednesday and Thursday morning prayer meetings. Further, she ministered for years in the chorale choir.

Terry Stevens has served in several ministries over the years. He drove the van providing a means for children to attend Sunday School, where he also taught, and later became the Superintendent. He is a regular actor for Easter programs and a speaker on Good Friday. Terry has served as a board member and Church Treasurer for over 20 years. His commitment to discipleship has led him to teach the New Believer’s class preparing others for Baptism and leading a care group for over 10 years. Bernadette and Terry Stevens graciously give of themselves and continue shaping Bronx Bethany’s legacy.
